Rikers Island November Visit Schedule

Concerto per la Giornata Mondiale della lotta all'AIDS

November 30, at 21
Bologna, Chapel of the Palazzo Farnese Municipal (Piazza Maggiore, 6)

For World AIDS Day, Komos, your gay men's chorus Favorite organized a concert sponsored by the city of Bologna, in the prestigious cornice della cappella Farnese del Palazzo Comunale.

Il poeta spiega così la sua dedica: "Roger Horowitz, my beloved friend, died on 22 October 1986, after nineteen months of fighting the ravages of AIDS. He was fourty-four years old, and the happiest man I ever knew.”

Come spesso con il KOMOS, il concerto sarà anche l'occasione per ascoltare una giovane promessa dell'arte lirica, Flavio Ferri-Benedetti , the most interesting voices of countertenor of the day. (You can listen to "I hoped close to shore," fearsome air from Gluck's Demofoonte: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMnFG2H2G1A)
