Sono di nuovo a Sydney. L'ultima volta che sono stato qui il Komos era ancora soltanto nella mia immaginazione. Giravo per le biblioteche raccogliendo musica per coro maschile, passeggiavo per il Botanic Park provando a immaginare come sarebbero stati i coristi... Ieri sera ho ritrovato i miei ispiratori, il Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir, che ha cantato durante una messa della Metropolitan Community Church alla Town Hall, una celebrazione abbastanza inconsueta con tanti speaker diversi religiosi e no. La presenza più energetica e ispiratrice è stata sicuramente quella di Mrs Shelley Argent, National Spokesperson for Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, la Flavia Madaschi autraliana, che ha ricordato all'assemblea quanto sia meglio essere criticati per ciò che siamo e per aver fatto ciò in cui crediamo che essere apprezzati per quello che non siamo. Poi tante carole natalizie, intonate da tutti, coro ed assemblea. Un'atmosfera bellissima apprezzata anche da un ateo praticante quale io sono.

Oggi, dopo due anni dalla nascita, il Komos è cresciuto sano e forte, avendo superato brillantemente la pertosse, il morbillo, la quinta malattia e una serie di minacce interne ed esterne, più o meno prevedibili. Non solo non ha deluso i miei sogni, ma li ha sorpassati di gran lunga. Ogni tanto non mi capacito che qualcosa di così bello sia veramente stato creato da me.

Il giorno giovedì 18/11/2010 presso i locali della scuola media Pacinotti   si e' tenuto l'incontro del comitato dei genitori delle scuole medie con 25 partecipanti.

S’inizia la riunione accogliendo le varie proposte per la raccolta fondi delle Scuole Medie che si terrà in data 12/12/2010 presso il Centro di S.Cesario   dove ci e’ stata riservata una postazione. Si tiene presente che le scuole Elementari faranno il mercatino   nelle date 8 e 12/12/2010, terranno un punto ristoro dove offriranno caffè, pop-corn e zucchero filato.

I suggerimenti sono tanti e stimolanti,ma molti si terranno in considerazione per le occasioni future

Si decide, su votazione(13 sì - su 24) di partecipare al Mercatino del Borgo il 12/12/2010. Si richiede per l’occasione la partecipazione di genitori volontari, la cui disponibilità,nelle varie fasce orarie, verrà palesata tramite ciclostilati che arriveranno   alle famiglie tramite i ragazzi. La giornata richiederà la presenza dalle 9,30 circa,per l’allestimento del banchetto, tenendo presente che la vendita negli altri anni è iniziata circa dalle 10, si farà orario continuato ed alle ore 18 inizierà il riordino. Offriremo, sin dal mattino:

-le creazioni composte nelle giornate del decoupage da genitori volonterosi

- T-shirts / sweatshirts donated by Prof Ghermandi (if left over from the day of sale Campestre)

- in the afternoon, from 15 to 18 chips.

I   volontari   dalle 10 dovrebbero essere presenti per sistemare i 3 tavoli per il buffet( si raccomanda di esporre le cibarie in quantità adeguate e distribuite nell’arco della mattinata in modo che tutti i ragazzi ne possano usufruire).

Alcuni genitori garantiranno   la presenza alle postazioni lungo il percorso della campestre.  

Ci sarà anche un punto vendita di magliette e felpe offerte dalla prof Ghermandi il cui ricavato verrà messo a disposizione del Comitato Docenti.

I ragazzi di Piumazzo, S.Anna e coloro che non possono rincasare per la pausa pranzo possono portare un pranzo al sacco da casa che consumeranno in un’aula messa a disposizione della scuola e saranno sorvegliati da  genitori volontari,mentre i ragazzi di San Cesario e chi puo’  sono sollecitati ad andare a casa a pranzo per non sovraffollate l’aula.

Per scacchi- Se confermate le adesioni si contattano gli interessati ed i volontari per  l’insegnamento.

Per decoupage- Elena Toni, mamma  volontaria ci propone le sue opere,veramente interessanti. Al I° incontro i materiali da utilizzare(feltro,maizena,pasta di mais….) li   porterà lei .Sarà un corso con circa 15 ragazzi che da martedì 23/11/10 s’incontreranno per  2 ore in 3 incontri, 15 euro a ragazzo.

Per elettronica ed elettricità-  Ermes Anderlini ha  confermato its availability in the II quarter.

Kitchen-The ladies of "Sfogline" have become available for the teaching of our traditional pasta: tagliatelle, tortellini and ravioli filled squares and finally even in this case will take place 'in the second quarter .

Una mamma si e’ incaricata di contattare a tal fine l’amministrazione comunale ed il comitato delle Botteghe del borgo al fine di avere uno spazio riservato.
