Cocky Quotes From Songs

Lettera a Caterina Tartaglione

Two days ago I sent this letter to the vice president of municipal council Pesaro, Catherine Tartaglione, a member of the PDL, born dentist (the same name of a Sicilian soprano), following some of his statements appeared in the newspapers.

"Dear Mrs. Tartaglione,

according to Carlino's on 6 July 2010, she stated, about the cancellation of the concert of the choir that I direct, Komos, by the lenders of the Diocese of Pesaro:" Without for the freedom of everyone to do what he wants in the private sphere when it is not detrimental to the freedom of others, it seems to me that the group does not take a primarily musical expression (not declared homosexual), as to convey a political and cultural message which is fact normal and positive move for what the church considers a moral disorder. So in an initiative sponsored by the church itself seems not to be feasible in terms of education "The

I remember that we are musicians who were invited by the organization of a music festival due to the quality, high or that it is low, their artistic offering. We have not imposed anything on anyone. What the Catholic Church does not judge or judge is not - nor can it be - none of our business. The event was on the bill for weeks. I have heard of ' cancellation of our concert in the papers, the diocese and no one would deign to respond to my requests explanations. For us, this is called bad manners.

In addition, since it has issued statements about our "musical expression," I do not doubt that she has studied music and vocal technique. I send some of our recording. I hope you will forgive the amateurish quality of the sound recording. We would be delighted if we want to indicate which technical solutions can be adopted to achieve greater expressivity, which wants to believe, is our first goal.

I have not received a reply, which already shows a certain sensitivity in Ms. Tartaglione, who rightly wants to reflect the appropriate weighting on music recommendations from us.
