.
Many texts collected in the volume have appeared over the years in Italian and international magazines and anthologies and are here presented again along with some unpublished poems of the same series.
The volume contains a critical reading of Francis Muzzioli, one of the most careful scholars of Italian avant-garde and a professor at the University of Rome Sapienza, who wrote in the afterword:
"
the author is" cut out "a [...] its place in a poetic and artistic experimentation that, today, against all the taboos, is able to deal with the lyrical patterns of the past, and knows how to produce a lyric abraded, not comforting, even in the minimum metric, which here seems quite unstructured and conducted for small groups rhythmic. Minima, but not minimalist, because it offers shelter and easy-off, but fragments of jagged, sharp pieces. "
"[...] the "word" as a problem, becomes the matrix of a series of tests of poetry, when poetry - by virtue of being abnormal and a text using all the key modern disorientation of fragmentation by the displacement and astigmatism in particular, as we shall see,
sharp pictures
- take exploratory capacity from time to time different, but always acute, and unrelenting cruelty. "
The book uses an English text in front, drawn by the author in collaboration with the American translator David W. Seaman, who in his note on the work carried out together with Davinio writes: "[...] it might be a psychological dissection carried out in a landscape painting by Yves Tanguy and Salvador DalĂ. Lightning flashes through a leaden sky, while the voice of the poet speaks strongly of its gradual drying up [...] This collection of poems by Catherine Davin and an invitation to read and reread, silently and aloud. It rewards the reader with delightful verse and strident phrases that lead to experience a enjoy fresh and dangerous. beware, those who enter here. "
as a key introduction of his research, he writes, In fact, the author: "The broken syntax and a minimal use of the word - an epiphany in the white space, piece of history that continues elsewhere - punctuation subversive, the speech broke biological intensity of desire, the crying, the limit, by 'ambiguity of meaning, a meaning that promise remains imminent and unspoken, "and again:" The disease of love and poetry, serial phenomena which provide scientific interest, neatly numbered, an observatory estranged disorienting and extreme passions. "
